As I’m a local professional driver with so many years experience about driving. Angkor Wat is a Symbol of Cambodia

Angkor wat is more than a symbol, more than just the shape of a temple and its towers on the flag of the Kingdom. In fact, the site of Angkor-from the Sanskrit " Negara" meaning city or capital-includes about fifty monuments spread over 230km2. The monuments are different in styles and origins, and celebrate various cults. With time nature has taken over the temples, reducing some of them to ruins that specialists have been struggling to renovate since 1907-date of Thai retrocession to Cambodia of three provinces including Siem Reap. Remains of what is commonly referred to as the Angkorian civilization can be found in Cambodia, Thailand and Laos. But it is around Angkor that archaeologists concentrate their efforts because it acted almost continuously as capital city from the 9^th century until its fall in 1413. Angkor, with all its mysteries and unsolved questions arouses one’s imagination. It was abandoned in the 15^th century before being rediscovered a century late.

Day 3 visit (Far a way temples tour)

Morning visit:

Banteay Samrea- Banteay Srie (some people call this the "Lady Temple" or "Queen Palace"). Kbal Spean is a river of 1000 lings of the mountain. There are also carvings of Buddha and Buddhist image in the rock.

Afternoon visit:

Beng Melea sprawling jungle temple covering over one square kilometer constructed in a distinctly Angkor style under the same king that build Angkor Wat. Rolous Group  (Preah Ko, Bakong, Lolei) is a collection of monuments representing the remains of Hariharalaya, the first major capital of the Angkorian-era Khmer Empire.

交通：在网上看了很多推荐，最终选择了口碑一直不错的Pete。我提前两个月和他通email联系预定，还好运气不错， 1、Pete是个简单的柬埔寨人，很朴实和敬业。这个第一印象是从接机开始，一直保留到我们送机； 2、Pete很守时，每次都是提前20多分钟就到了，我们几次拖延了15分钟出发，他也没有任何埋怨； 3、Pete给我们建议的行程非常合理，他会告诉你什么时候去重要的景点，因为人最少的时候，重要景点里很适合拍照； 4、Pete还是个很有经验的tuktuk司机，会告诉你从景点出来之后怎么找他，我们每次出来都很快能找到Pete，不像其他游客，出来找司机要老半天； 5、Pete在每次送你回GH的时候，都会和我们预约接下来出行的时间，甚至午休之后几点钟出发他都会和你确认好。而且他会很随和地根据你的需求来满足你的要求，并不会强加他的想法给你，要求你几点出发什么的； 6、Pete的tuktuk上永远都放着一个icebox，里面放着充足的瓶装饮用水和湿纸巾（不另外收费）。每次你从景点出来，他会主动送上冰冻的矿泉水和纸巾，这点服务令我们感触颇深，真是太舒心了； 7、Pete的tuktuk开得不快，甚至可以说是很慢的，但他很有经验，你不用担心安全问题； 8、Pete会帮你讨价还价，尤其是在买水果和特产之类的时候，他会告诉你：让他去和老板说，你不用担心，他几乎每天都在和这些人还价。我们问过同住在Motherhome GH的驴友，通过比较后，他们都称赞我们的司机是好司机； 9、Pete的英语没的说，我算是一直用英语的人了，和他交流下来，他比国内的大学毕业生的口语要强很多，但可惜他不能带你进景点当导游，因为那样的话，他会被罚款200刀； 10、Pete不是没有缺点，我们唯一不满意的，就是他永不答应我们请他吃饭，要不就说他已经吃好了，要不就借口说家里老婆等着他吃饭.sam-horn@hotmail.com
